For the first time in the series NBA 2K18 will present a real live world within the framework of a completely new game mode, called The Neighborhood.
The Neighborhood mode is fundamentally different from anything you could see earlier in the NBA 2K games. MyPLAYER characters will be settled around the city’s districts – they will have access to certain places that can be visited, and the opportunity to interact with other players and characters.
It will be possible to accidentally run into Kairi Irving in a barbershop, warm up on the Playground, make a new tattoo in a specialized salon, listen to fresh songs or show off in new outfits before neighbors. Each action will leave its imprint in the history and ranking of the athlete.
In addition, NBA 2K18 will have a global system of Road to 99, which will reward users for raising the overall rating of the MyPLAYER character regardless of the selected mode.
Already on September 8, players will be able to get early access to NBA 2K18 in the free demo version of The Prelude for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the progress of which will be transferred to the full version.
